Questions homeowners ask us first
No script, no pressure. Here's what we tell people on the phone every day.
What does the free review actually include?+
A specialist reads your loan, lease, or PPA in full — escalators, term length, disclosure language, right-to-cancel handling, any lien or UCC filing, and the production or savings claims — then explains in plain English what you signed and where the gaps are.
Is it really free?+
Yes. The review and the qualification call cost nothing, with no obligation. If your case moves forward with an independent attorney, any fee is explained in writing before you agree to anything.
Can you cancel my contract?+
We can't promise that, and you should be careful with anyone who does. What we can do is document what was misrepresented and hand a well-built case to independent attorneys who pursue the options the facts support.
My cancellation window closed years ago. Does that matter?+
Not necessarily. Many cases rest on what was misrepresented at the point of sale or on disclosures that were never properly made, and those issues aren't limited to the first few days after signing.
How long does the process take?+
The first call is usually within 48 hours of your request, and the contract read follows shortly after. What happens next depends on the case, the lender, and the solar company — we'll tell you honestly what to expect rather than give you a date we can't hold.
What do I need to send you?+
The solar agreement itself, and anything from the sales process you still have: quotes, savings projections, text messages, emails. You'll get a private, single-use upload link — nothing is posted publicly.
Who sees my documents?+
Your case team, and the independent attorney if your case moves forward. Documents are stored encrypted. We don't sell your information or add you to lists you didn't ask for.
Are you a law firm?+
No. Solar Exit is a division of PropAdvisor. We review contracts and build the documented record. Legal advice and representation come from independent, licensed attorneys.
What if my contract turns out to be fine?+
Then we say so on the call and you keep your money and your afternoon. An honest read is the whole point.
Still unsure? Just ask.
A short conversation usually settles it — and it costs nothing either way.
